In partnership with the City of Durham and Durham County, The Stagville Memorial Project is looking for experienced public artists with a track record of working with marginalized communities in their processes to submit their qualifications for The Stagville Memorial Project Public Artworks at the Durham Rail Trail Gateway Plaza.

 

The Artist Selection Committee will determine up to 3 semi-finalists in the Winter of 2025-2026, with a finalist expected to be announced in the Spring of 2026. Construction on the Durham Rail Trail Plaza is anticipated to begin in the Fall of 2026.
